After being a guest on the soap opera from Australia Neighbours in 2003, Taylor was offered the role as Janae Timmins. One of the contributing factors that led her to this decision was that all of her characters had been written out and new actors gave the show the feeling of being in a completely different place. Taylor added, "It just didn’t feel like the family I had when I first started the show three years ago." Taylor was one of many cast members who left the show at the same time. She finished filming her final studio scenes in 2007, and her last episode was shown on February 8, 2008. Taylor was awarded the award for the most beautiful female at the 2007 Inside Soap Awards.
