Mila Kunis Bio
Mila Kunis was born Milena Kunis in the Ukrainian city of Chernivtsi on the 14th of August 1983. Kunis, then seven years old, emigrated to America with her parents Elvira und Mark Kunis. Later she moved to Los Angeles. It was a hard start for the Kunis family, who came to their new home having just $250. Kunis' parents gave up their jobs to move and were determined to give their children a better future. Mark, a retired mechanical engineer was able to find work as a cab driver. Elvira who had studied physics in Ukraine became pharmacist. Kunis said, "I didn’t understand the culture" when he first arrived in the United States. "I did not know anyone. I didn't understand the language. My essay for admission to college started with the sentence, "Imagine being blind and deaf as a young child." And that's what it was like moving to America. But it was not a difficult transition. Milena Markovna Kunis, daughter of Mark Kunis and Elvira Chernivtsi in Ukraine was born on August 14th, 1983. She has an older brother. Her mother is a physics teacher, and her father owns an pharmacy. His father is a mechanical engineer by profession. Her family moved to Los Angeles in seven years. Rosewood Elementary was her school. When she was nine years old, she began acting classes. After auditioning for commercials in a variety of different spots, she became a star in her first appearance on television on Days of Our Lives’ in 1994. The first time she was cast on the 1998 sitcom That ’70s show’ as Jackie Burkhart. Her performance was praised by the critics. In 1999, she was cast in the role of Meg Griffin on the animated sitcom Family Guy.
