Alona Tal

Alona Tal, an Israeli American actor and singer was born on 20th October 1983 in Herzliya. After serving in the Israeli Defense Forces, she began her professional career. Her big break came in 2003 , when she was the lead in an Israeli film. In addition to her roles in Israeli films, she also recorded several tracks with Subliminal. Tal relocated the city of New York with her sister. She teamed up with Haitian artist Wyclef Jean on the song "Party to Damascus". American television also helped her establish herself, starting with a regular role on the TV show Veronica Mars. She initially tried out for the role of the lead, but the show's creator Rob Thomas created a new character for her. Tal eventually earned an appointment as a regular character on the CBS series. Prior to making the move to New York, Tal starred in two Israeli television series. Recorded a song with singer Wyclef Jean. Hebrew is her first language. Second choice for the character of Veronica on Veronica Mars (2004).Originally she auditioned for Veronica Mars (2004) and was Rob Thomas' second choice to play the title role. Thomas loved her so much he created the role of Meg Manning specifically for her. The actress was part of The Israel Defense Forces. Both of her parents are Jewish and her father is Turkish/Jewish and her mother Polish/Jewish. The actress plays Adrian Monk's daughter in the episode that aired last night.
