Emily Swallow

American actor Emily Swallow was born December 18th, 1979. Her most famous work is her roles in the role of Kim Fischer on The Mentalist and as Amara the Darkness in the 11th season of Supernatural. Also, she appears as The Armorer in the live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian and also played a minor part in the role of Emily in the video game The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born in Washington, D.C. on December 18, 1979. She grew-up in Sterling, Virginia, and Jacksonville, Florida. Swallow began her acting career at Stanton College Preparatory School. Additionally, she was a part of professional and amateur theatre productions. She graduated in 2001 with a degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Virginia, and afterward, she pursued an MFA in Acting at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.Swallow began her professional career on Broadway theatre performing in several productions, including High Fidelity, King Lear, The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Guthrie Theater, Much Ado About Nothing for Shakespeare in the Park, and the world-premiere of off-Broadway productions Romantic Poetry and Measure for Pleasure.In 2008, Swallow made her film debut in the military drama The Lucky Ones. She appeared in two international premieres: Donald Margulies' play The Country House, Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse; and Mark Rylance's show Nice Fish, at the Guthrie Theatre. In 2010 she won the Falstaff Award as best female performer for her role in The Taming of the Shrew. She also appeared alongside Jac Huberman in Jac N Swallow's musical Romantic Poetry at the Manhattan Theatre Club. The show is about their hilarious mishaps in dealing with diverse life circumstances.
