Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel Sfer is an American actress
from the United States. She is best known for her performances on American
daytime television, as well as occasional guest appearances on television and
made-for-television films. Sofer was awarded a Daytime Emmy Award by CBS in
1995, for her portrayal of Lois Cerullo, the role she played on the soap opera
General Hospital. Since 2013, she has been playing Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap
drama The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was born in Arcadia (California) to Susan
Sofer and Martin Sofer. Martin Sofer is a Conservative Rabbi. Her family later
relocated to Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. Sofer then relocated along with her
father David, to Teaneck, New Jersey in 1970. However, Sofer lived in Western
Pennsylvania when she was a kid. The family was based in Ambridge Pennsylvania
where their father was the director of Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She was a
student at the Frisch School, an coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish
highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer was born in North Bergen, New Jersey.
Her father was the rabbi at Temple Beth El. After having graduated from North
Bergen High School in 1998, she pursued her education at Montclair State
College. Sofer was the first to portray Lois Marie Cerullo at General Hospital.
In 1993, she was the manager of the band. But her first big role was playing
Rocky McKenzie in the daytime soap opera Loving (1988-91). Perhaps her most
famous role is that of Lois Cerullo, a nurse on General Hospital from December
15 from 1993 until September 24 in 1996. Later , she was back on the show as a
guest (February 7 1997 - September 30 (1997) October 2 1997 - October 2 1997).
In 1995, Sofer won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in
an Drama Series for her portrayal as Lois. Sofer was invited to join CBS' soap
show The Bold and the Beautiful in the new role in the role of Quinn Fuller.
Her first episode aired on July 12. Sofer has been featured in a variety of
popular prime-time television shows as a guest star/supporting cast member
roles: Seinfeld, Melrose Place, The Chronicle, Ed, Friends, Spin City, Blind
Justice, Ghost Whisperer, 24, NCIS, and Two and a Half Men.
