Milena Govich
Milena Govich, a director as well as an actor and musician has directed numerous episodes of TV such as Chicago Med (2015), The Equalizer (2021), FBI: Most Wanted(2020), Chicago Fire (2012), and others. Milena was the Co-EP/Producing Director on Dick Wolf’s CBS show FBI (2018) and is currently attached for two pilots. Milena was one of the eight women selected for AFI’s prestigious Directing Workshop for Women. She also participated in the Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors program. Unspeakable was her TV show and short film. The show starred Jeff Kober and Laura Vandervoort It was awarded Best Episodic at Seattle International Film Festival as well as the Best Pilot award at the SoHo International Film Festival. The short film she made, Temporary (2017) has been screened across the country, winning Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival, Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest as well as the Director's Choice Award at Sedona International Film Festival. Milena has appeared in more than 100 television shows acting as an actress. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) was the Dick Wolf series, was her second leading character. This led to her being awarded the Emmy for best female detective on Law & Order (1990). She has appeared or recurred on numerous other showslike K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The Defenders (2010) (CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family); and as Lori Stevens on the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena has appeared in numerous movies that include Sordid Things (2010); A Novel Romance (2011) in which she starred alongside Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015), starring alongside Method Man; as well as the role of #Lucky Number (2015). Born in Norman, Oklahoma, Milena was valedictorian of high school. She then completed an undergraduate degree in both vocal performance and pre-med with minors in violin and dance at the University of Central Oklahoma, also graduating valedictorian. Soon after, Milena used her classical ballet training to take part in a show on Broadway in the production of Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall 'Cabaret' at Studio 54.
