Watts was born 28 September 1968. After her family relocated to Australia in
the early 1980s, Watts made her film debut in For Love Alone (1986). Later, she
was a part of three television series, Hey Dad.. (1990), Brides of Christ(91)
as well as Home and Away (91) and Flirting (1991). Watts was a failed actor
when she first arrived in the United States. She acted in small-scale movies
and eventually became an actress. Her rise to global fame was due to this part.
Watts played the role of an unmotivated journalist in The Ring, a horror film
remake. Her portrayal of an emotional mother in Alejandro's 21 Grams (2003) was
nominated her for the Academy Award. Her popularity grew with her leading roles
in I Heart Huckabees (2004), King Kong (2005), Eastern Promises (2007), as well
as The International (2009). Watts was nominated for an Academy Award as Best
Actress for her performance in The Impossible (2012). In the 2010s, Watts
appeared in films such as Birdman (2014) St. Vincent (2014) St. Vincent (2015),
While We're Young (2016), The Glass Castle (2017) and Luce (2018). Watts was
also a star in blockbuster films, appearing in Divergent (2015)-2016.
