Carrie-Anne Moss
Canadian actress Carrie-Anne Moss, born August 21 1967. After early roles on television She rose to international fame for her part of Trinity in The Matrix series (1999-present). Memento (2000) was her first big role. She won the Independent Spirit Award, Best Supporting Female, Red Planet (2000). Chocolat (2000), Fido (2006), Snow Cake (2006). Snow Cake (2006) was awarded the Genie Award, Best Performance by an Actress. Disturbia (2007). Unthinkable (2010). Silent Hill: Revelation (2012). Pompeii (2014). Jeri was also the principal character in several series of television created by Marvel Television, most notably Jessica Jones (2015-19). Carrie-Anne Moss is the daughter of Melvyn Moss and Barbara Moss. Her birthplace was Burnaby. She has an older brother, Brooke. Moss's mother, reportedly named her in honor of the 1967 Hollies popular hit track "Carrie Anne" that was released in May of the year. As a young girl, Moss lived in Vancouver with her mother. When she was 11, she joined the Vancouver musical theatre for children and later went on to tour Europe as part of the Magee Secondary School Choir in her senior year. Moss was in Spain when she was approached to play the role of Tara Marshall as Judge Bruce Marshall's clerk in the drama series Dark Justice. This was her first appearance on television. In the course of the show, she relocated from Barcelona to Los Angeles in 1992. Moss was sacked from Dark Justice before the series was in its third and final season, and was replaced by Elisa Heinsohn in the role of Samantha "Sam" Collins.
